Lascaux Review flash fiction contest (and my entry)

In its second year, Lascaux Review is holding another flash fiction contest, open for submissions for just under 10 more days. Last year’s was a lot of fun (and being a finalist an added pleasure) with nearly 250 entries, and this year looks to be on track to beat that with nearly 100 entries in just the first few days!

The rules are simple enough. There’s a photo inspiration prompt to get your creative juices thinking, and entries must be 250 words max. The stories don’t have to directly reference the photo or anything, though many certainly do.

The winner will receive $250, plus a nifty virtual medallion for their website/blog. Finalists also receive a virtual medal for their noteworthy submissions.

My piece has been posted for anyone interested in checking it out!

And be sure to read through many of the other entries and comment on those that catch your interest. Plenty of fun experiencing all sorts of different styles and inspirations.

Have you entered a flash fiction piece to this contest? Be sure to share it with the rest of us!
