    Gasp! This is so exciting! CONGRATULATIONS! And what a great story. A textbook case of how to get a literary agent. I'm so glad your hard work and perseverance paid off, Josh. And most of all: I can't wait to read it!

    Thanks, Jess. It's exciting to be able to share all this, and I hope to avoid falling into the age-old trap of talking about how much my cat inspired me by sitting on my desk and staring at me while I wrote.

    Cats are very skilled at the guilt-trip stare, by the way. They make one want to revise an entire manuscript without saying a thing.
