Today I start a new job here in Colorado. It’s nice to have something of a schedule to hold to, even when one hopes to eventually sustain one’s self entirely on the novel writing. But until then, bills must be paid. I’m going to be a web content writer for a good company in town, so wish me luck as I start my orientation. I’m glad I finished the latest manuscript over the weekend so my mind can concentrate fully on this new work.
I see that smile.
No Way! Josh you’re not supposed to be in Colorado…you’re supposed to be in New York so we can come visit you! Sigh. But I don’t blame you. I’d go back to Co in a heartbeat.
But, congrats on your new job and I hope your first day goes well!
Wait. This isn’t an April Fool’s joke is it?
No April Fool’s joke, I’m afraid. Sorry we never did get the NYC get together, but it is good to be back in CO. How are things going on your end?
Just wanted to say congratulations on the job AND the manuscript. Usually success is had with either one or the other, at different times.
Both at the same time you need them is good. 🙂
Thanks so much, Stephe. It is good to feel like work is getting done, rather than pushing off projects into the far netherlands of whenever. And after you’ve finished one, you’re all the more confident of being able to dive back in and do it again.
Well, I’m glad it’s not an April Fool’s joke. The east coast is a strange and bizarre place sometimes. We’re doing well. Jeff is teaching this semester and loves it. I’m plugging away at paying the bills with smatterings of piano playing and blog writing to alleviate the routine. Anyway, I would write you an email but I’ve forgotten your address so this update is condensed to a comment box=). Breathe some fresh mountain air (and/or smog ridden Denver air) for me.
Congratulations and good luck with that pesky-but-necessary gainful employ!
