Enjoy this bittersweet short film about a meteor’s brief existence.

In other news, I just wrapped up my current work in progress, which clocked in at 90k words. Nice to have another one tucked away for a bit. It’ll get a round of revisions from me before going to the great crew which has offered to provide feedback.
Woot! Congratulations on “finishing” the book. 🙂
Thanks! I'd say the hard part is over, but we all know that isn't always true. Ah well. Easier to work on what's already been put down.
I have to ask: How long did it take you to write those 90K glorious words?
And, of course, congratulations!
I haven't paid strict attention to the timeline, but I can gauge it because I started working on this one soon after signing on with my agent. That was right at the beginning of July, and it's now about three months later. So let's say 3 months for this first draft.
One big point I need to make is that this manuscript is a sequel to the one we'll be sending to publishers soon. That means I had most of the characters and much of the world already developed. Plus, I'd been long ruminating on potential plots, so when Scott encouraged me to go ahead with a sequel, it took just a few days for me to get started–unlike the 3-4 weeks it can take me when working from scratch.
Congratulations on finishing the draft!
Thanks, J.!
