I’m torn…

There are some days I really want a Kindle or some other e-reader, and some days that the comic below reflects my feelings more accurately.

As much as I appreciate the convenience and advances e-reading offers, it still doesn’t quite capture the visceral appeal of reading a solid chunk of a good book. I’m sure I’ll catch up with the times…sooner or later.

I see that smile.

    I completely agree. Staring at a screen gets old real fast, and it just seems so impersonal. The words are the same, but it’s as if the voice of the story somehow changes.

    It’s kind of like all the voices change into robo-speak in my imagination when reading from them.

    I know I’ll probably get one in the next year or two, use it on vacations or once they finally get a decent writing interface on them so I can take novel and chapter drafts with me. But I’ll hesitate for a little longer.
