Does this sort of thing happen? Sure, sometimes. Should you count on it to kick-start your writing career, especially if you are like me and still working to get that first book into the public eye? No.
My writing-for-money bubble burst a long time ago, I’d like to think, and if any other writers are out there thinking that writing is their key to wealth and hot tub bubble baths in the back of limousines, check the following articles and prepare to swallow a little taste of reality.
